Uniting Rivals: Leading Safety When Lives Are on the Line

In 2014, the five largest offshore helicopter operators in the world made an extraordinary decision. They agreed to stop competing on safety to create a safer world.
The person who led that extraordinary effort was a friend of FirstHuman Gretchen Haskins. Gretchen is an aviation safety leader, a human factors expert, a former UK CAA Safety Director, a former Captain in the US Air Force, as well as one of my favourite human beings.
As CEO of HeliOffshore, she built a global collaboration that has fundamentally changed how an entire industry protects the people it serves.
