Chiles, Managing Partner at Pelican Energy and former President & CEO of Bristow Group, the largest offshore helicopter operator in the world. Having started as a floorman on drilling rigs, he 5 years later founded his first drilling company and subsequently sold to Noble Drilling. He went onto founding further companies, selling them to new owners and building his reputation as an unconventional and courageous businessman.

Having been hired to lead Bristow’s, he took the initiative to form HeliOffshore, an industry collaboration committed to ensuring no lives are lost in offshore helicopter aviation, and served as it’s Chairman until April 2026. His services to the aviation industry saw him being given a Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award from Living Legends of Aviation.
